Photo No. 1:  This Kansas hunt occurred in 1997It had snowed 3-4 inches the night before this hunt and the roosters were huddled in the plum thickets.  Needless to say, it was a great hunt!  From left to right: Devin Royal, Brian Clodfelter, Steve Waugh, Timmy Bradshaw, and yours truly.

Photo No. 2:  This Kansas hunt occurred in 1996. Pictured (left to right) are: Timmy Bradshaw, Devin Royal, Bryan Clodfelter, and myself.

Photo No. 3:   This photo was taken immediately after only my second ever triple on roosters.  Hunting after a 3 inch snowfall, we were heading back to the truck when I decided to check out the plum thicket just over my left shoulder.   As Abbey and I approached, roosters started boiling out, and I was fortunate enough to drop three.  Bryan Clodfelter, Steve Waugh, and Timmy Bradshaw witnessed the event.

Photo No. 4:    Pheasant hunt in 1994.  Pictured left to right, Luke (owned by Steve Waugh), Abbey (owned by yours truly), and Cody (owned by Donnie Belk and brother to my female Pepper).

Photo No. 5:     Another great hunt during our 2006 trip to Kansas.

Photo No. 6:    Mild weather that year in Kansas forced us to spend more time on roosters than waterfowl, but we were up to the challenge!

Photo No. 7:    This is the field where we have done the most damage on pheasant.  Laid out perfectly with draws, plum thickets, woods, food, and water this field has everything a pheasant could want.   Many limits have come off of this site.   Pictured left to right:  yours truly, Steve Waugh, and Bryan Clodfelter.

Photo No. 8:  Late season pheasant hunt on January 4, 2001.  Light snow on the ground made hunting roosters even more exciting.  Hunting was tough, but we were up to the task and managed to bring home 16 roosters.

Photo No. 9:  December 10, 2001 hunt with Richard Faulkner.  Roosters were few and far between and limits were hard to come by, but Scooter was able to sniff these out and help put them in the bag.

Note:  For those of you that have asked, all of the hunts pictured above occurred on private land and all the birds taken are WILD roosters!  Also, these birds are not opening day birds, but are seasoned roosters that have survived not only opening day, but the first few weeks of the season!   Most, if not all hunts pictured above occurred 3 or more weeks into the season.
