"Lacey"
April 30, 1986 - June 5, 1995
This picture was taken near Narka, KS in 1993. Lacey and I were walking a long ditch line that ran around a cut corn field. I could tell Lacey was following strong pheasant scent, but she couldn't seem to get close to the bird. She eventually trailed this bird for roughly 150-200 yards. Finally as we approached the end of the ditch line, the rooster could stand it no longer and flushed. Had I missed the shot I'm sure she would have disowned me for all the hard work she had done trailing this bird!
